Maggie Carine (she/her)

is a freelance artist, art teacher, and art therapist located in New York City. Maggie began her artistic journey as a child, intuitively drawn to the arts. This process naturally evolved throughout her life. Maggie went on to study at Stony Brook University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Studio Art. Maggie then completed her Masters of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development at Pratt Institute’s School of Art.

In addition to being a working artist and licensed Art Therapist, Maggie is the Fine Arts Department Chairperson at a High School in NYC. Maggie also has a business, Wine of a Kind, where she sells hand painted glassware and teaches paint events (yes-she wears many hats but loves them all).

As an artist, art teacher, and art therapist, Maggie has a deep passion for the use of the arts and exploring the important role it plays in our lives. Maggie hopes to inspire others to tune into creativity and self-expression, which she believes naturally resides within all of us.
